1914 Al McCoy Championship Belt

1914 Al McCoy Championship Belt

Charming antique wooden display lined in green cushion is the perfect home for Middleweight Champ, Al McCoy. McCoy was able to win the title in a surprise KO of George Chip. The golden belt buckle badge (EX) is adorned with a facade of two gloved pugilists within the raised lettering: “East New York, A.C. April 25, Presented to Al McCoy [engraved], 1914.” Display incorporates 4 pendants, which also once adorned the belt, displaying the pasted-on photos of Al McCoy and his family members. The red, white & blue sash which surrounds the badge is deeply faded and slightly tattered.
