1914 B-18 Blankets Including 2 Cobbs and Walter Johnson (104)
This is an amazing collection of 104 B-18 blankets from 1914. A complete list is available for all 104 blankets, which measure 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". The lot includes 2 Griffith blue base paths with green flags, Walter Johnson red base paths with green flags, three Foster red base paths on a white infield with green flags (one has staining), two Morgan red base paths with a white infield and green flags, and many, many more. These are really special; the square flannels were issued in 1914, wrapped around several popular brands of tobacco. They were nicknamed "blankets" because many of them were sewn together to form bed covers or throws. This is an outstanding collection of a whopping 104 blankets, graded EX.
