1914 Cracker Jack HOF Collins, Brown , & Alexander (3)

1914 Cracker Jack HOF Collins, Brown , & Alexander (3)

In 1914 Cracker Jack came out with its first series of baseball cards as its "Prize In Every Box". According to the reverse, 10 million cards were printed for the 144 card set. This year was issued in the box among the caramel popcorn and peanuts; so staining is normal. All three cards have some caramel staining. The Grover Cleveland Alexander #37, Eddie Collins #7, and Mordecai Brown #32 examples all fall in the EX-MT condition without accounting for the stains. They are crease free, exhibit relatively sharp corners, good centering and deep color which is tough to find for this fragile thin issue.
