1914 Miracle Braves v. Giants Record Breaking Game Ticket Stub and 5 Photographs
These photos were taken on Labor Day (September 7th) in 1914, at the Braves vs Giants game, where Christy Mathewson ("Matty") pitched during Game 1. The lot includes the ticket stub and five photos from the game. One photo has a tear in it. There was a record crowd at the double header game at Fenway that day, which lasted from the morning into the afternoon. The Braves has beat Matty in the opening. Later on in that game, Boston's Mayor Curley rushed onto the field to protest Fred Snograss' bad behavior!
