1915 Boston Red Sox World Series Program

1915 Boston Red Sox World Series Program

Babe Ruth's photo graces this exceptional World Series scorecard from 1915 - the second straight year that a Boston team played its postseason home games at the home of its crosstown rival. Here's a very nice, clean souvenir from Game 4, a second straight 2-1 Red Sox win over the two-time National League champion Phillies. There are some wrinkles on the front and back covers making it technically Very Good condition. The game action is scored in pencil, and though Ruth is listed on the Red Sox roster, he was limited to just one pinch-hit appearance the entire series. The Sox played at newly-opened Braves Field that October, strictly because the sparkling new ballpark had a much higher seating capacity than cramped Fenway Park.
