1916 Patent Spalding Football Complete Uniform with Dog Ear Helmet
Talk about old school, the patent on this child's size football uniform dates back nearly a century. The three-piece set consists of a leather helmet, shoulder pads and football pants. The leather is in nice shape, especially the regal shoulder pads with Spalding marks & 1916 patent, though much of the stitching has come loose from the flaps on the pads on top of the shoulders on both sides. The helmet and pants are unmarked by manufacturer, and the pants come with insert thigh pads. These items show great use and in light of the age the set is overall in Excellent condition.
