1916 Willie Ritchie vs. Willie Hoppe On-Site Fight Poster
On June 30, 1916 at the Mission Street Arena in Daly City, California Willie Ritchie and Willie Hoppe fought for the Championship of the Pacific Coast in the lightweight division. After four rounds the fight was declared a draw. Presented here is a very rare on site poster from this event. This poster has pictures of both fighters in fight poses and in period dress. The poster is paper which has been mounted on to a backer board. It is 28" x 41." There is minor soiling. There is a scrape in the center. The original folds are evident. Minor chipping on the lower border. Extremely rare, possibly unique.
