1917 Collins-McCarthy #168 Charles Stengel
A much-prized scarcity, this example of this minimally distributed memento originates from the earliest era of Casey Stengel's baseball career that lasted over four decades as player and manager. The hobbyist who has the pleasure of viewing this 1917 E135 Collins-McCarthy card of Casey sees "The Old Professor" not long after his ascent to the big leagues with Brooklyn. The card does have wrinkles, corner wear and a crease, but no surface loss or major condition issues. Grades VG.
