1919-32 Jack Dempsey Ticket Collection (12)
Celebrated boxer Jack Dempsey was renowned for his punching power and aggressive style, which led to him becoming a cultural icon in the 1920s. This is an excellent collection of 12 tickets of Dempsey's, including three full: 1919 Willard v. Dempsey, 1923 Dempsey v. Gibbons, 1921 Dempsey v. Carpenter; and nine stubs: 1926 Dempsey v. Tunney World Heavyweight (6), 1932 Dempsey v. Wine, 1921 Dempsey v. Carpenter, 1927 Dempsey v. Tunney (last professional fight). The stubs are overall VG, while the full tickets are VG-EX. The Manassa Mauler is a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, and was voted by the AP in 1950 as the best fighter of the previous 50 years.
