1919 Louis Santop Game Used Bat

Negro League catcher that was one of the sports earliest superstars. He played in the 1910's and 1920's and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006. This is the only Louis Santop game used bat known to exist. In fact, it is the only game used piece of his known to exist, period. 37.5'' in length. "SANTOP" in block letters on the barrel. Handle has a crack that is in place. Barrel has fine use with plenty of spike marks. Back of barrel had some dead wood and a small sliver missing. Includes LOA.
