1919 Reds Postcard Sent from the World Series with Great Content

1919 Reds Postcard Sent from the World Series with Great Content

A most unique piece of memorabilia from the infamous 1919 WS. Postcard with an array of head shots of the Reds players was sent by a Reds fan on October 2, 1919 from Chicago to a friend in Springfield, Missouri. He didn't know the half of it when he wrote, "Here's the boys who are putting the 'kibosh' on the White Sox. Will see them play here in person tomorrow. Ed." At the time the Reds had taken the 1st 2 games in Cincy and only the "Black Sox" on the take knew why. Reds on the card include Ed Roush, Jake Daubert, Ivy Wingo, Heinie Groh, Mic Allen and manager Pat Moran, in original sepia tone color. Card is EX.
