1981 Cincinnati Reds "Best Record" Banner (78x148")
A strange system used to establish playoff berths during this strike-shortened season effectively cheated the Reds out of a spot, even though they were second to none in winning percentage. So, without a pennant to show for their troubles, they made a banner instead. Straight from the rafters of Riverfront Stadium comes this large canvas relic. Reds logo is at left, with text reading, "Baseball's Best Record 1981" to the right. Wonderful weathered look from its honored spot in the warm Cincinnati air, but no damage to speak of.
