1920's Bare Fisted Boxing Bronze Statue by Moreau (19" tall)
This near ancient bronze sculpture is the distinguished work of French sculptor, Louis Moreau. Much like his other work, this one emanating from the early 20th century is elegant and smooth flowing, with a religious tone. With outstretched left fist and right fist held close to the body, the bare-fisted pugilist is dressed in fighting garments with a pair of gloves on the ground between his legs. Stands on wooden podium. The artist has signed on the bottom of the bronze and engraved plate affixed to front of podium reads in French, “Boxeur Par Louis Moreau.” EX-MT condition.
