As a "prize" for eating Wilbur Chocolate Bars in the 1920's consumers found 35 randomly inserted flag cards in their bars of chocolate. Issued as a 36 card set, the 36th card alng with a free Wilbur Flag Album was available only by mail. The give away was also used to bolster Wilbur-Suchard's (the parent company of Wilbur bars) mailing list as each redemtion needed to include the names and addresses of each redeemers friends. This collection contains 71 flags representing 27 of the issued 36 country flags. each card measures 2.5 x 1.5" and contains the brightly colored flags on front and promotion details on verso.
