1920-1960s Foreign Tobacco Cards (2500+)
Large collection of foreign tobacco cards (2500+) from Europe. Most are approximately 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" in size and are in albums of sets and near sets covering ranges of topics such as tennis, wrestling, boxing, swimming and animals. A few are loose. Cards date from the 1920's thru the 1960's. Categories of the collection include Wills's Cigarettes "Cinema Stars" complete set (25) from 1928 including Blanche Sweet, silent film actress, and Clara Bow, the original "It Girl". Also, a Wills's Cigarettes collection (50) of cricketers and a collection (50) of "Beauties of Today" from 1938 Godfrey Phillips, Ltd., including June Taylor and Anne Rutherford. John Player & Sons complete 1936 set (50) of Motor Cars including Bentley 3 1/2-litre Sports Tourer, Rolls-Royce Phantom III, Bugati 3.3-litre. Conditions range from EX to NRMT.
