Interesting duplicate of contract forGeorge Engel to serve as the business manager for Henry Greb, WorldLight Heavyweight Champion. Dated Dec. 30, 1920, also includes anadvertisement for Engel and Greb. Both the duplicate contract(unsigned) and ad are on backing, some creasing on each, with a few verysmall tears on contract. Greb was the World Light Heavyweight Championfrom 1922-23, and the World Middleweight Champion from 1923-26. Boxinghistorian Bert Sugar ranked Greb as the 5th greatest boxer of all-time,and the International Boxing Research Organization rated Greb as the #1Middleweight of all time and the #2 pound-for-pound boxer in history.The most fascinating verbiage in the advertisement is Engel's offer thatGreb will fight anyone, from 165 pounds to heavyweight, as long as anyclub, can give Greb a reasonable guarantee to convince us that theclub has some patronage."
