1920 Ray Chapman RARE "Deluxe" Ediiton Leather Funeral Program

1920 Ray Chapman RARE "Deluxe" Ediiton Leather Funeral Program

The only man ever to be killed during a Major League Baseball game, Ray Chapman fell victim to Yankee pitcher Carl Mays, whose fastball tailed into Chapman’s head and caused his death. This elegant leather-bound volume is embossed "Ray Chapman” on cover. The twelve-page volume is elegantly lettered with the funeral oration and many great images of Ray. The book inside has lifted from the leather cover, otherwise in Very Good to Excellent condition. This is the "deluxe" leather bound, hardcover edition likely presented only to family members, close friends, VIPs, etc., and is one of only a few in existence.
