1920 World Series Game 2 Brooklyn Robins vs. Cleveland Indians Ticket Stub PSA PR 1 (Pop 1 of 1 - One Higher)
Ticket stub issued for Game 2 of the 1920 World Series between the Brooklyn Robins and Cleveland Indians held at Ebbets Field on October 6th. Graded POOR 1 by PSA. This an exceedingly rare World Series ticket stub and one of only two such examples listed in the PSA Population report. It is the ONLY example graded at this level by PSA, with just one graded higher (GOOD 2). Game 2 of the 1920 World Series was a matchup of aces, as the Robins' Burleigh Grimes squared off against thirty-one-game winner Jim Bagby. Grimes proved to be the better pitcher on that day, as he blanked the Indians 3-0 to even the Series at one game apiece. Unfortunately for Grimes and the Dodgers, the Indians eventually triumphed in the best-of-nine series, five games to two, marking the club's first World Championship in franchise history. The ticket stub (2.25x2.75") displays a few creases and a small tear in the lower left corner.
