1920s-30s Earle Combs New York Yankees Traveling Steamer Trunk

1920s-30s Earle Combs New York Yankees Traveling Steamer Trunk

Traveling trunk was used during his days with the New York Yankees American League baseball team. Originally came from a country auction in his home state of Kentucky where he lived all his life. Traditional black steamer trunk (23x21x41") is still adorned with original paper labels referring to the "Railway Express Agency." Interestingly, they are addressed from Kentucky to New York so this was what he used to travel to Yankee Stadium and back. Has the original leather strap, many of which are often decayed and missing. Sports multiple hand-painted white NY logos which make this something truly special. Logos were added later, but look amazing. Letter of Authenticity from Leland's.
