1920s-80s Wire Photos from the San Francisco Examiner (1000+)

1920s-80s Wire Photos from the San Francisco Examiner (1000+)

All of these are from the photo archive of the San Francisco Examiner newspaper. Founded by William Randolph Hearst of Citizen Kane fame, this was his flagship paper, and there are large groups of: Oil and Petroleum industry, John Birch Society, Military uniforms, industrial WWII turbines, Jackie (organization). Plus, tons of famous and semi-famous individuals. Small groups including: oil slicks and spills (Exxon Valdez), Opera, a very full file of hovercrafts (extremely interesting), eyeglasses (high fashion!), roaring 20s flappers and much more. Overall VG, some bowed from storage, about 25% rough. But some nice stuff here and most are very cool.
