1920s Amos Alonzo Stagg "Grand Old Man" Football Doorstop

Handsome heavy metal doorstop celebrating the life and career of an American athlete and pioneering college coach in all sports, but best known for college football. Amos Alonzo Stagg lived to be 102 and was of course referred to as "The Grand Old Man" in multiple sports, primarily American football. He served as the head football coach at various schools, and his Chicago Maroons teams of 1905 and 1913 have been heralded as National Champions. He was also the head basketball coach for 19 seasons at the University of Chicago. Measures 7" high and overall EX condition.
