1920’s Chicago Cubs Signed Baseball Collection (7)
Offered is a lot of seven special OAL and ONL signed baseballs from the personal collection of Chicago Cubs player, Joe Munson. Munson played only 1 season with the Cubs (1925-26), and never played again. Balls include: 1. 1950’s single signed Bob Feller. OAL (Harridge) baseball is Near Mint, signature grades “9” out of a possible 10. 2. Charlie Grimm single signed baseball. Near Mint ONL (Giles) baseball has the panel inscription, “Best Wishes ‘Jimmy’ with the signature on the sweet spot. Signature grades “8” out of a possible 10. 3. 1927 Chicago Cubs team signed OAL (Heydler) baseball with Gabby Hartnett. Approximately 23 total signatures in black fountain pen. Signatures grade overall “5” out of a possible 10. Ball is also adorned with baseball folk art on two panels. EX. 4. Joe Munson “Pennant Winning Tulsa Oilers” folk art baseball, signed by 15 members of the pennant winning Oilers including Munson. ONL baseball has a dark shellacked surface. 5. 1925 Harrisburg Baseball Club Signed baseball. 6. 1926 Chicago Cubs team signed baseball adorned with Joe Munson folk art. 29 enhanced signatures include Hack Wilson, Gabby Hartnett, Joe McCarthy, Grover Cleveland Alexander, & more. 7. Circa 1941 New York Giants team signed baseball. 21 blue ink signatures include Mize, Durocher, & more. ONL (Frick) baseball is EX-MT.
