1920s Folk Art Mechanical Cigarette Dispenser
Here's a hand carved folk art piece with original barn red paint, a metal dispenser box with a metal batter who actually bats when you pull down his arm. The action of the batter is similar to the mechanism in a mechanical bank. The cigarette dispenser appears to be working and the wooden base with gold trim has some wear but that just gives it more charm, as is the case with many folk art pieces. The box opens on the side for the insertion of cigarettes. Measures 8" high and the base is 10" long.
