1920s Walker Cup Thomas Wilson Golf Clubs Cardboard Standee
This wonderful cardboard throwback advertising piece pitches Walker Cup model golf clubs, circa 1920s. The standee measures 11.5x8" and the easel back is unused. Marvelous graphics accompany this colorful display, which touts the merits of arcane "Brassies" and "Spoons," among other club varieties. This is from the early years of the Walker Cup, which is also displayed on the ad, and was first awarded in 1922 and has been contested biennially since 1925.
