1976 Montreal Olympic Basketball Gold Medal & World Championship Medals - Klimova LOA
This collection of seven medals comes from one of the most decorated women's basketball players of all time, Natalya Klimova. The centerpiece of this offering is a 1976 Olympic gold medal for basketball, won for the USSR. The medal from the Montreal games is gold-plated and made of gilt silver with "Basketball" engraved on the outer ring with original chain and box. Also included are: 2-4) Medals from the 1971, 1972, and 1975 FIBA World Championships. 5-6) 1974, 1976 European World Championships. 7) 1969 European Junior Championship. Also featured is the original envelope from the 1976 Gold Medal victory, signed by the Presidents of the International Olympic Committee and Organizing Committee - Commissioner General for the XXI Olympics. It comes with a handwritten letter in Russian by Natalya and also a printed English version that she signed, as well as two Type I photos of Natalia playing and at the Olympics, and diplomas.
