1921 Harry Hooper Signed Photograph with Kid Gleason (8x10" mounted)
The White Sox manager was still reeling from the horrible revelation of the 1919 World Series fraud when this photo was snapped, but he puts on a brave face, perhaps due in part to the arrival of the star Red Sox outfielder standing beside him. Hooper has signed his image in perfect blue ink, making this NRMT mounted photo (a treasure even without the signature) truly sublime. Other writing on front (identifying Gleason) and on back (including another signature) is completely in Hooper's hand.
