1921 Ty Cobb and Kenesaw Landis Original Photograph - First Meeting Between the Two! (PSA Type I)
<p style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; color: black;">Original Type I photograph capturing Ty Cobb posing with newly elected Baseball Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis in 1921. According to the vintage handwritten notation on the reverse, this was the historic first meeting between the two: “Judge Landis meets Ty Cobb – It was the first time that the Georgian met the famed Chicago jurist and supreme chief of base ball.” The date stamp “Apr 29, 1921” also appears on the reverse. Although no venue is listed, research reveals that Detroit was in St. Louis on that date for the start of a four-game series. The photo (8x10”) displays a few light creases and edge tears. In Very Good condition. PSA encapsulated at Type I Authentic. </span></p>
