1921 Ty Cobb Testimonial Invitation Signed by Pete Rose

1921 Ty Cobb Testimonial Invitation Signed by Pete Rose

Pete Rose shows a playful side as he signed this extremely rare banquet invitation for Ty Cobb several decades after it was issued. The all-time hits king inscribed: "Sorry I couldn't be there. Pete Rose" in blue Sharpie grading 9/10. The ticket is in EX condition with "No. 444" stamped in red on the back. The card reads: "TESTIMONIAL BANQUET TO TYRUS RAYMOND COBB GIVEN BY TIGER FANS TUESDAY EVENING, FEBRUARY 1st, 1921 AT SEVEN-THIRTY STATLER HOTEL, DETROIT COVERS $10.00." Cobb was 34 years old at the time and had just come off his 16th major league season, during which he batted .334.
