1923 Detroit Tigers Panoramic Photograph with Ty Cobb
Because of their unusual dimensions, panoramic shots of this type and era can be hard to find, particularly with this condition and content. This very rare 1923 Detroit Tigers team shot measures 42.5x10", housed in its original frame. Ty Cobb is pictured wearing his uniform and a sweater and has a big smile on his face while his son Herschel is standing directly in front of him. The picture appears to be in EX condition and is labeled "Detroit Baseball Club, Augusta GA 1923" and a total of 37 players and coaches are pictured wearing their Detroit uniform, some with Tigers sweaters on also. Others include: Veach, Heilmann, Manush, Kerr, Kennedy, Cutshaw, Rigney, Burke, Bassler, Haney, Brady, Collins, Johnson, Blue, Neun, Kerisch, Fothergill, Cole and more. A typed caption is affixed to the verso, though not all players are identified.
