1923 Ty Cobb Game Used Bat From The Harry Evans Collection (PSA Graded 10)

1923 Ty Cobb Game Used Bat From The Harry Evans Collection (PSA Graded 10)

Without a doubt, the best Ty Cobb bat we have ever handled and one of the most distinguished items we’re offering here. This particular bat was ordered by Cobb on March 9, 1923. It measures 34.25” in length, weighs 41 ounces and hails from the famed collection of Harry Evans, an early collector (going back to 1920’s) who obtained all of his items directly from the players. Evans’ original archive tag is still on the bat but you don’t need it to know that this is a Cobb game-used bat. Beautiful honey colored grain is peeking through the dark chocolate finish and game-use abounds on this Hillerich and Bradsby Louisville Slugger. There’s no missing the crisp “Ty Cobb” trademark stamp on the barrel. The Evans’ tag has his logo on one side that reads “H.D. Evans Baseball’s No. 1 Fan” and “Bat used by Ty Cobb” on the reverse. A truly spectacular and one-of-a-kind piece, it has been given the highest possible grade by PSA, a 10. A historical bat from one of the game’s most unpredictable players.
