This football pennant comes from the dedication of the University of Nebraska Memorial Stadium in 1923. The U of N is in Lincoln, Nebraska, and is the home of the Cornhuskers football team. The red felt pennant, which has somewhat faded to orange, matches the fans because most fans wear red apparel; the stadium is referred to as the "Sea of Red" on game days.
