1924 Game Balls from White Sox vs. Giants London World Tour - Gifted by The Royal Family (Comiskey Family Sourced)

1924 Game Balls from White Sox vs. Giants London World Tour - Gifted by The Royal Family (Comiskey Family Sourced)

Sourced from the family of Charles Comiskey, these 1924 baseballs celebrate the meeting of British royalty with baseball royalty. The Official National League baseballs are both handwritten with dates from the game in which the balls were used ("Oct 24 - 24" and "Nov 6 - 24"), along with "London, White Sox, Giants, Tour." Both balls have handwritten numbers "4" and "7" above the inscription, and each is handwritten with members of the royal family in unknown hand. The November ball lists "King George, Prince of Whales, Prince Henry, Queen Mary," while the October ball reads "Duke of York, Princess Patricia." One ball has a pinhole on a panel, not effecting display quality, and both baseballs display game use with one having a large brown spot. These are rare and significant artifacts featuring two of the sports oldest franchises, with tremendous provenance.
