1925 Pottsville Maroons Panoramic Photograph
This is the original print from 1925 that many of the copies on the market were made from. That season, the Maroons controversially had their championship stripped after playing a game against the University of Notre Dame. These photos were presented to team members and officials and are very rare. There is a photographer's mark from "Wonders Photo Studio Pottsville PA" in the lower right corner. There is some damage and some staining around the borders, though most of the damage does not affect the image. There are also two tears at the bottom portion that are repaired with tape on the back. The photograph depicts 16 players and one coach from the legendary Maroons squad. Measures 9"x27".
