1925 Red Grange's Final College Game Ticket
Red Grange was one of the most dominant football players to ever don a uniform and run with the pigskin. This ultra-talented halfback was a vital cog in the explosion of popularity surrounding the NFL, and re-wrote the books on how much players would be paid by the NFL. This beautifully designed ticket is from Grange's final game with the University of Illinois, a 14-9 win over Ohio State University, and reads "Football Homecoming / Saturday November 21 at 2:30 P.M. / Illinois - Ohio / Ohio Stadium". Immediately following his final game, Grange signed with the Chicago Bears, who took him on a 19-game barnstorming tour that packed out stadiums and earned Grange previously unheard-of amounts of money for an athlete.
