1926-29 Grover Cleveland Alexander Game Used Glove

1926-29 Grover Cleveland Alexander Game Used Glove

Vintage baseball glove, fantastically game worn by the legendary Hall of Fame pitcher Grover Cleveland Alexander. This wonderful relic dates to Cleveland's tenure with the Phillies (1911-1917), and features "Reach" cloth label and brass button. A detailed Letter of Authenticity from the original owner states that his uncle Adolf Fischl received the glove as a gift from Alexander, who he personally knew, during Alexander's tour with the Cardinals (1926-29). The glove is in absolutely original condition, showing the signs of seasons of use. The leather is parted along a seam at the base of the thumb, and evidence of an earlier home-made repair will be found along a seam on the outside of the thumb. Vintage ID card reads: "Glove Used By Grover Alexander While Playing With St. Louis Cardinals" just adds to the realness of this relic. So authentic and absolutely amazing!
