1926 Babe Ruth World Series Photograph - At the Plate (PSA Type I)
Original Type I photograph capturing Babe Ruth at bat during Game 3 of the 1926 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals at Sportsman's Park. Ruth is pictured in his followthrough swing as he grounds out to second base in the top of the first inning. This photo originates from a large collection of original 1926 World Series photos offered elsewhere in this auction. The original "International Newsreel Paper" news caption, dated "10-6-26" remains affixed to the reverse. The photo (8x10") displays a few light creases, a tiny edge tear along the top, and minor rippling. Very Good condition. PSA encapsulated as Type I authentic.
