1926 Babe Ruth World Series Photograph - Home Run Trot (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photograph capturing Babe Ruth crossing the plate after a solo home run in Game 7 of the 1926 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals at Yankee Stadium. Ruth's home run came in the third inning and gave the Yankees a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately, for Ruth and the Yankees, the Cardinals scored three runs in the top of the the fourth inning and held on to win 3-2, capturing their first World Championship in franchise history. This photo originates from a large collection of original 1926 World Series photos offered elsewhere in this auction. The original "International Newsreel Paper" news caption, dated "10-10-26" remains affixed to the reverse. The photo (8x10") displays a few light creases. Very Good to Excellent condition. PSA encapsulated as Type I authentic.
