1926 Babe Ruth World Series Photograph - Safe at Second (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photograph capturing Babe Ruth sliding into second base in Game 3 of the 1926 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals at Sportsman's Park. Ruth was safe on the play, which occurred in the third inning of the Cardinals' eventual 4-0 win. This photo originates from a large collection of original 1926 World Series photos offered elsewhere in this auction. The original "International Newsreel Paper" news caption, dated "10-6-26" remains affixed to the reverse. The photo (8x10") displays a few light creases, a tiny stain in the lower left corner, and minor rippling. Very Good condition. PSA encapsulated as Type I authentic.
