1926 Spalding Champions Walter Hagen BGS 9 (Mint)
An American professional golfer, he was one of the most colorful sports personages of his time, who is credited with doing more than any other golfer to raise the social standing of his profession. Hagen is one of the greatest golfers of all-time. Card bares a copyright date of November 26, from Sports Co. of America, a San Francisco publishing firm, these cards were produced for A.G. Spalding & Brothers, the sporting goods firm. It is professionally graded by Beckett, BGS 9 mint. Sub grades are as follows: Corners 9, Edges 9, Surface 9, and Centering 8.5. Exhibits razor sharp corners. The only “9” graded by Beckett.
