1927 Fat Boy Joe Cobb First "Our Gang" Contract Signed by the Legendary Hal Roach
This lot offers a contract for services from 1927 through 1929 with Hal Roach Studios for 10-year old child actor Joe Cobb for $450 a week, which was a fortune at that time. Signed by impresario Hal Roach (signed as H.E. Roach, which is Harold Eugene Roach) interesting that he is merely the Vice President and C.H. Roach as Secretary and First Party. The boy signs Joe Frank Cobb as do his parents. Embossed on each page, is "Hal Roach Studios Incorporated April 24, 1926 California". Legal size paper 8.5x14" contract is typed on five pages and neatly folded. Condition is EX and all signatures are 8/10.
