1927 Gene Tunney vs. Jack Dempsey II Full Ticket-The Long Count Fight
On September 22, 1927 World Heavyweight Champion Gene Tunney defended his title against the man he won it from a year earlier, Jack Dempsey. The fight was held at Soldier’s Field in Chicago. This was the famous “Long Count” fight in which Dempsey knocked Tunney down, but failed to get to a neutral corner extending the referee’s count and saving Tunney who went on to win a ten round decision. Presented here is a beautiful full ticket to the event. The ticket is clean on the front and back and has superb illustrations of both fighters on the reverse. The stub is firmly attached and the ticket has section, row and seat assignments. EX-MT condition.
