1927 James J Corbett Signed Photo Inscribed to World Famous Siamese Twins (PSA)
Truly unique signed photo not because of the image, because was his standard vaudeville shot that he normally gave out. However, the key is the inscription. Inscribed: "To my dear friends Daisy & Violet Hilton With Best Regards from Jas. J. Corbett New York Oct. 29, 1927." The Hilton Sisters were the the legendary Siamese Twins that were in vaudeville for decades and most remembered for their appearance in the definitive 1932 Tod Browning film "Freaks" (One of us, one of us...). The photo was signed on the last day of their engagement together. The theater is unknown but there is a partial sticker on the photo we have never seen with the dates of the engagement. This originates from the Hilton Sisters Estate. Apparently they collected signed photos but this was the only one we saw of great worth. PSA LOA.
