1927 John Grabowski Signed Yankees Payroll Check
The man behind the mask for the greatest baseball team ever. Super-tough signature of the catcher for the Bronx ultra-stars endorses this Yankee payroll check in perfect black ink. Grabowski's relatively early death (1946) and less than legendary status makes him one of the toughest sig's to get if you're looking to complete a '27 Yankee collection. If you miss this chance, you may as well give up. Front of check is signed by HOF execs Barrow and Ruppert. Their sig's area also NRMT. Check has a few unobtrusive vertical folds, otherwise very strong.
