1927 New York Yankees Handwritten Letter Collection
Memories flow like spring water from the pens of several former '27 Yankees in this compilation of dozens of personal letters meticulously preserved by Pat Olsen of the Rawlings Sporting Goods Company from the '40s on. The members of the "best team ever" include Mark Koenig, Joe Dugan, George Pipgras and Bob Shawkey, who tell of family matters and the inconveniences of getting old. There are also letters from '25 Yankee Whitey Witt and Art Fletcher, a N.Y. Giant of the 1910s. All letters immaculate and signatures near perfect. In two handsome bound volumes.
