1927 Urban Shocker Signed Yankees Payroll Check

Let us count the ways: 1) Derives from the glorious season of 1927, when the Yanks ruled the galaxy. 2) Pays the salary of superstar (he was eighteen and six this year) pitcher. 3) Endorsed on the back in 10/10 black ink by Shocker, the toughest signature of all Murderer's Row members (he died tragically fourteen months after this check was issued). 4) Also signed by Hall of Fame execs Barrow and Ruppert in dark ink. A few neat vertical creases do nothing to detract. Wow!
