1928 Babe Ruth "Vote For Al Smith" Photograph
Just imagine this kind of endorsement today. Resplendent in bowler hat, jacket and tie, Babe Ruth is in all his glory with cigar in mouth in this original 6.5x8.5" photo. On his suit hangs a small sign "Vote For Al Smith." There are light crop marks and two creases at the upper left corner, along with a wire caption on the verso, Acme and N.E.A. stamps and a few small pieces of tape. In case you are wondering, among other things, Al Smith was noted for being "anti-prohibition." Small wonder the Bambino was a supporter.
