1928 Cincinnati Reds 22x14” Panoramic Photograph with Colorful Roster

Splendid image of this storied team is on luxurious buff stock paper. Bespeaks the early work of George Burke, but is by F. Boellinger with his cartouche in a special place. Pictures a very special and quite colorful squad: Bobby Wallace (HOFer), Carl Mays (killed Ray Chapman with a pitched ball), Wally Pipp (the man Lou Gehrig replaced at first base), George Kelly (lanky HOFer), Eppa Rixey (HOFer), Hugh Critz, Ethan Allen, Curt Walker, Bubbles Hargrave, Ray Kolp, and Clyde Sukeforth (Jackie Robinson’s manager when he broke the color line for the Montreal Royals). Professionally repaired tear o/w EX-MT.
