1928 Lefty Grove Single Signed Game Used Baseball

1928 Lefty Grove Single Signed Game Used Baseball

The Hall of Fame southpaw recorded a whopping twenty-four wins this season with 183 strikeouts. Both figures led the league. Now you can hold some of that history in your hand with this OAL (Barnard) ball used in one of those many wins. Nice use on the ball does nothing to diminish the quality of the notations Lefty later added to it. He prints the box score of this match against "Saint Louis," dates the ball "July 31 - 1928," notes "Strikeout 5" and signs below. We've never seen so much ink (very dark!) from Grove on a single ball. And we can't decide if we like it more because he signed it, or because he used it in a game that added to both his league leading win and strikeout totals. We'll let you decide for yourself which is more intriguing.
