1928 “The Piercing Eyes of Jimmy Foxx” Type 1 Photo
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Here is "Double XX", also later known as "Beast", when he was more fittingly 'Baby Beast". Jimmie Foxx is only 20-years-old in this photo, not yet having grown muscles on muscles, yet he hit .328 for the Philadelphia Athletics this season with a .964 OPS. He may be posing in this photo, but his eyes are lasered on the ball, real or imaginary. Exceptional image by Underwood & Underwood.
