Original glass plate negative capturing the 1928 World Champion New York Yankees in a traditional team pose. Twenty-nine team members are pictured here, including Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, manager Miller Huggins, Tony Lazzeri, Bill Dickey, and Leo Durocher. The Yankees captured their second consecutive World Championship in 1928, thereby solidifying their reputation as one of the greatest teams in baseball history. The negative (5x4"), which displays a production code written along the left border, remains in Excellent condition. Accompanied by a small positive photo of the image printed on paper.
